1. Removegrasscatcherand any packingmaterial
whichmay be betweenupperand lowerhandles.
a. Removehandknobs from handlemounting
bracketsand pull up and back on upper handle
as shownin Figure3-1.Makecertain the lower
handleis seatedsecurelyinto the handlemounting
brackets.

b. Tightenhandknobs to secureupperhandleto
lowerhandle.Make surethat eachcarriagebolt is
seatedproperlyin the handle.
Replaceand tighten handknobs removedearlierto
securelowerhandleto handlebrackets,Figure3-2.
The ropeguide is attachedto the right sideof the
upperhandle.Loosenthe wingnut which securesthe
rope guide,Figure3-3.
a. Holdthe blade controlagainstupperhandle.
b. Pull starterropeout of the engine.Releasethe
bladecontrol.
c. Slip starterrope into ropeguide.
d. Tightenwingnut.
Securecables to the lowerhandlewith the cabletie
alreadyon the lowerhandle.Insertpeg on cabletie
intothe hole on the lowerhandle.Pullcable ties tight
and cut off excess.
Followthe stepsbelow,if needed,to assemblethe
grasscatcher,Figure3-4.
a. Placebagover frameso that its black plasticside
is at the bottom.
b.
Slip plasticchanneloverhooks on the frame.
All the plasticchannelsexceptcentertop of bag
attachfrom outsideof bag.
c. Attachcentertop of bag from insideof bag.
