Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector
Using the Flash (Flash Modes)
You car] shoot pictures with a flash by raising the flash. You car] set a flash mode that
suits the shooting conditions.
1 Slide the _@ (flash pop-up) control to raise
the flash.
• When the flash is lowered, the flash mode is fixed at I_
(off).

Press • (9 flash mode) on the multi selector.
3 Use the multi selector to select the desired
mode and press the _) button.
• See "Available Flash Modes" (_]]61) for more
information.
• If the _) button is not pressed within a few seconds,
the selection will be canceled.
• When _#lTn(auto) is applied, _[_ is only displayed for ..... _
a few seconds, regardless of Photo info settings

• The flash lamp indicates the status of the flash when I'__ ( h
the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.
- On: The flash will fire when you press the
shutter-release button all the way.
- Flashing:The flash is charging. The camera cannot
take pictures.
- OE The flash will not fire when a picture is
taken.
• If the battery is low, the monitor will be turned offwhile
the flash is charging.
