Step 3 Frame a Picture
Using the Zoom
Rotate
tile
zoom
control
to activate
tile
optical
zoom.
To zoom
in so that
tile
subject
fills
a larger
area
of
tile
frame,
rotate
toward
T (telephoto
zoom
position).
To zoom
out
so that
tile
area
visible
increases
in tile
frame,
rotate
toward
W (wide-angle position).
Rotating
tile
zoom
control
all tile
way
in either
direction
adjusts
tile
zoom
quickly, while rotating
tile
control
partially
adjusts
tile
zoom
slowly (except
during movie recording).
A zoom
indicator
is
displayed atthe top
of the
monitor
when
tile
zoom
control
is rotated.

the digital zoom
uses a digital
imaging
process

as interpolation
to
magnify
images,

in slight deterioration
of image quality
depending
on the image
