Step 3 Frame a Picture
Using the Zoom
Rotate tile zoom control to activate tile
optical
zoom.
• To zoom in so that tile subject fills a larger area of
tile frame, rotate toward T (telephoto zoom
position).
• To zoom out so that tile area visible increases in tile
frame,
rotate toward
W (wide-angle position).
• Rotating tile zoom control all tile way in either
direction

When tile camera is already at tile maximum optical zoom position, rotating tile
zoom control toward T (telephoto zoom position) triggers the digital zoom.

Unlike the optical zoom, the digital zoom uses a digital imaging process known as interpolation to
magnify images, resuking in slight deterioration of image quality depending on the image size
(_73) and digital zoom magnification.
