Installation ESCORT recommends that an automotive service center perform this work for you. Installation time varies depending on the installation location and your vehicle model. Installation requires approximately 30 to 90 minutes. - Page 6 Hardwiring Entourage CIS Entourage CIS is hardwired to the vehicle’s power system with its built-in 2m (6.5’) power cable. Entourage CIS is compatible with both 12 VDC 24 VDC vehicle power systems. Entourage CIS must be wired to a continuous source of power that is not controlled by the ignition key.
- Page 7 The easiest method to hardwire Entourage CIS is as follows: • Using the automotive test light, identify a non-switched 12V / 24V wire (a wire not controlled by the ignition key). Other methods to hardwire Entourage CIS include: • Wiring Entourage CIS directly to the vehicle’s battery terminals. This is an advanced technique, and not described within this guide • Hardwiring Entourage CIS to the vehicle’s power system using soldering techniques.
