4.1.7 Bi-d Adjustment

This is required when the CR unit or CR motor is replaced or removed. You perform this operation to
adjust the deviation occurs between lines printed in 2 different print directions when the printer is in the Bi-
directional printing mode.
1.
Connect the printer and the host computer with a parallel interface cable.
2.
Start the adjustment program in the host computer.
3.
Input the customer data. (Refer to Section 4.1.2.)
4.
Move the cursor using

Adjust the deviation referring to the flowchart below to make the deviation ( C ) less than 1/2 of the
line width in the draft mode and 1/3 of the line width in the LQ mode. (Refer to Figure 4-8.)

Press Space key to repeat the operation. Press the Enter key to exit "Bi-d Adjustment", and the main
menu appears.
