Install the HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007 into the Operations

Manager environment.
The kits support a custom setup option. Select any or all of the following to be installed:
Release Notes and Documents (automatically installed)

Console Task Tools

Management Packs
o
The custom setup option is used to install HP console task tools to each remote Operations Manager
Console.
NOTE:
both components must be installed to ensure full functionality. The management packs must
always be installed on the Operations Manager 2007 server. The console task tools can be
installed on the Operations Manager 2007 server and on a remote operator console system.
The custom setup option is used to select components to install.
The installer imports the management packs to the Operations Manager 2007.

Preinstallation checklist

Before installation, verify the following required configuration environments:
For WMI-based notifications:
•
HP Insight Management WBEM Providers (2.1 or higher) has been installed on at least one of
managed ProLiant server nodes. The server must meet all criteria that HP Insight Management WBEM
Providers (2.1 or higher) program supports.
•
HP Insight Management WBEM Providers (2.1 or higher) is functioning on each WBEM Provider-
installed ProLiant server. HP System Management Homepage is accessible to display system
information properly.

HP Insight Management WBEM Providers (2.1 or higher) User Guide.
For SNMP-based notifications:

HP Insight Management Agents has been installed on at least one of managed ProLiant server
nodes. The server must meet all criteria that HP Insight Management Agents program supports.
