Results: Positive scaling was evident with the addition of the second, third, and fourth
processors under this workload. For instance, the transaction rates did improve with the
addition of the second processor by 19%. The addition of the third processor provided
37% more requests than was provided by the second processor and the fourth processor
added 19% extra transactions than was provided by the third processor.
In NetWare 6, there are several parameters to be tuned in order to leverage your
hardware performance capabilities. Both the NOS SET parameters and the NetWare
Enterprise Web Server tuning options should be explored to in order to realize maximum
performance benefits.
