ROOF LATCHES

Inspect the roof latches to make sure they are tight and have not been damaged.
Periodically adjust them to maintain tension. If the latches become damaged, have them
replaced.

LIFTER SYSTEM

Lifter Posts

The telescoping posts should be lubricated semi-annually. Use a light coat of silicone spray
to insure smooth, trouble-free operation. Do not permit the the spray to come in contact
with the tent. Do not use grease or oil on the posts. Grease and oil will attract dirt, causing
the tent to become dirty.

Winch

The winch should be lubricated one time each year,
preferably at the beginning of the camping season.
Access the winch through the lifter system crank
door, or if necessary, inside the cupboard opposite
the crank door on the interior of the trailer. If
accessing the winch from the interior of the trailer,
you will need to remove the winch cover. For ease of
access to the winch from the interior, perform this
maintenance just prior to closing the camping trailer.
Utilizing an oil can, place a small quantity of light oil
on the pressure washer and tubing spacer (Fig. 41)
before operating the lifter system to set up or close
the trailer. As you raise/lower the roof of the trailer,
the oil will be distributed to lubricate these
components.

FRAME

It is recommended you periodically inspect the exterior exposed areas, clean and repaint
the steel members, occasionally and whenever you notice rust or paint chipped away, to
insure long life. Road debris will chip paint, inviting rust and other deterioration. To
prevent rust or corrosion, you may wish to purchase a commercially available rust
treatment application. If damage would occur, the frame needs to be painted with e-coat
paint and not a gloss black paint. This type of paint is available in a spray can from the
vendor, Leland. Contact the vendor at their website,
phone at 800-669-7681. Rust or frame damage resulting from lack of routine maintenance
voids the warranty.

COUPLER

Use a small quantity of silicone spray on the moving mechanisms of the coupler. Also
lubricate all moving parts in the actuator to insure ease of operation. It is recommended that
you use conventional grease on the hitch ball.
