Configuring the appliance and the OSCAR interface

You can use the OSCAR interface Setup window to configure the appliance and the OSCAR
interface.

The following table describes the options in the Setup window.

Order the list of target devices by target device name, eID number, or port number.
Set a screen delay to specify the length of time that elapses between when Print
Screen is pressed and when the OSCAR interface starts.
Enable the screen saver. Set a password to restrict access to the target devices.
Change the display properties including timing, color, and location of the status flag.
Specify the language that the interface is displayed in.
Specify the number of ports that are on the attached tiered appliance.
Assign a unique name to each target device.
Specify the keyboard country code.
Simultaneously control multiple target devices through keyboard and mouse actions.
Set up a custom scan pattern for up to 16 target devices.
Specify preemption settings.
Specify the network speed and configuration, IP address, netmask, and gateway for
the switching system.
