Uninstalling Symantec Mail Security for SMTP

Uninstalling from Linux and Solaris

To uninstall Symantec Mail Security for SMTP from a Linux or Solaris machine,
you must know the location of its installation directory, sometimes called the
LOADPOINT. To find this location, type
cat /etc/Symantec/SMSSMTP/resources
and look for the value of

All Symantec Mail Security for SMTP processes are stopped by the uninstaller.

/opt/Symantec/SMSSMTP
