Installing a PCI Express x16 Graphics Card

CAUTION
When installing a PCI Express add-in card, ensure that the card is fully seated in the
PCI Express connector before you power on the system. If the card is not fully seated
in the connector, an electrical short may result across the connector pins. Depending
on the over-current protection of the power supply, certain Desktop Board components
and/or traces may be damaged.
CAUTION
Before installing a PCI Express add-in card, make sure that it will not touch the
processor heatsink. This might cause an electrical short and damage the graphics card
and/or the desktop board.
CAUTION
Before installing a PCI Express add-in card, make sure that the tabs on the DIMM
sockets are in the upright position (closed); otherwise, they may be damaged by the
PCI Express card during installation.
