How To Detach/Attach The Lens
Hood
The provided lens hood helps block out glare when
shooting under bright sunlight, the same way
professional photographers do.
Screw
To detach

Loosen the screw on the lens hood.

Turn the lens hood counterclockwise.
To attach

While slanting the lens hood, align the lens hood
with the camcorder's lens, and then turn it
clockwise.

Tighten the screw on the lens hood.
NOTE:
Normally, use the camcorder with the lens hood
attached. Remove the lens hood only when you use
the optional wide or telephoto conversion lens.

How To Attach The Lens Cap

To protect the lens, attach the provided lens cap to
the lens hood when camcorder is not in use.
NOTE:
You cannot attach the lens cap directly to the
camcorder.
