3. Getting Ready
Install and charge the battery
New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your HTC Touch™, it is recommended
that you install and charge the battery.
To install the battery
1.
Slide the back cover upward to remove it. (See figure 1.)
2.
Insert the battery by inserting it with its exposed
copper part aligned with the protruding copper
conductor on the upper right side of the battery
compartment. Insert the right side of the battery first,
then gently push the battery into place. (See figure 2.)
3.
Replace the back cover.
To remove the battery
1.
Make sure your HTC Touch™ is turned off.
2.
Remove the back cover.
3.
To remove the battery, lift it up from the lower-left end
of the battery.
