Glossary
multi-key If activated, this feature lets you answer incoming
calls by pressing any key.

n A special character in a series of digits that tells your phone to
prompt you for a number before it sends the remaining digits in
the series.
network All phones register to a network in order to place and
to receive calls.
network connection time The elapsed time from the
moment you connect to your service provider's network to the

moment you end the call by pressing
. This time includes
busy signals and ringing.
network mode Determines whether your phone places calls
on digital networks, analog networks, or a combination of the
two (options vary by phone and provider).
network speed The speed of your phone's network search.
network type Determines the type of network your phone
searches for. Options vary by phone and provider, but may
include preferred list, home only, automatic, and standard A/B.
notepad Stores the most recent string of digits entered. You
can use this notepad to recall the last number you entered, even
if you did not place a call.

one-touch dial Lets you call phonebook entries two through
nine just by entering their single-digit entry number.
