Changing initial setup [1 Disc Languages]

Perform steps 1 to 3 of the procedure in "Basic operation for changing the initial
setup".

Select the item to be set.

1 Select an item with the joystick (%, fi).
2 Press the ENTER key.

Select the desired option.

1 Select an item with the joystick (%, fi).
2 Press the ENTER key.
The setup completes and the initial setup screen appears
again.
If you commit a mistake in the language
number input
Each press of the C key clears the currently last digit. Be sure to input the
correct digit(s) after clearing.
To return to the previous menu screen
Press the RETURN key.
To exit initial setup
Select "0 Exit" in the initial setup screen.

Disc Languages
1 AUDIO
2 Subtitle
3 Menus
0 Exit
Each press of the joystick (%, fi) switches the items as
follows.
1 1 AUDIO
: Sets the voice language output from the speakers.
2 2 Subtitle
: Sets the subtitle language displayed on the TV screen.
3 3 Menus
: Sets the language used in on-screen messages including
title menus (menus recorded in each disc).
4 0 Exit
: Exits the current screen.
Setting options
When [1 AUDIO] is selected
1~5 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish
Select the desired voice language.
6 Original (Factory setup)
Select this option when you want to play discs in their priority
languages.
7 Other
Select this option when you want other language than the
above.
÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys.
See "DVD menu language code list".
When [2 Subtitle] is selected
1 Automatic (Factory setup)
The subtitle language is set automatically according to the voice
language.
÷ No subtitle is displayed if the voice is played in the language set with
"1 AUDIO".
÷ If the voice is not played in the language set with "1 AUDIO", the
subtitle is displayed in that language.
2~6 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish
Select the desired subtitle language.
7 Other
Select this option when you want other language than the
above.
÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys.

When [3 Menus] is selected
1~5 English/French/German/Italian/Spanish
Select the desired menu language.
6 Other
Select this option when you want other language than the
above.
÷ Enter the 4-digit language code with numeric keys.
