■ Setting Passwords for Scanned Documents

If you save scanned documents as PDF files in ScanSnap, you can set passwords for these PDF
files.
You cannot read the contents of a password-protected PDF file if you do not enter a password
when you open the file.
When scanning confidential documents or important internal documents, you can prevent impor-
tant information from being leaked if you save these documents with
passwords.
Operation
1. Right-click the ScanSnap icon
2. Click the [File Option] tab, and then click the [Option] button.
