OPERATION WITH BLADES

Preparing the Trimmer/Brush Cutter for Blade Use
Blade use DEMANDS specific Brush Cutter configuration. Operation without specified shield, harness, and handle
can result in serious personal injury.
Grass/Weed Blades Require:
Install Blade Conversion Kit, P/N 99944200415 -
Includes metal shield (A), barrier bar (B), and
shoulder harness (C).
NOTE
The Barrier Bar is used to restrict rearward movement of the unit. The Barrier Bar is NOT A HANDLE and should not
be gripped when using or carrying the unit.
Brush/Clearing Blades Require:
Install U-Handle / Blade Conversion Kit, P/N
99944200521 - Includes metal shield (A), shoulder
harness with hip pad (C), and U-Handles (D).
Choosing the Correct Blade
The type of Blade used MUST be matched to the type and size of material cut. An improper or dull blade can
cause serious personal injury. Blades MUST be sharp. Dull blades increase the chance of kick out and injury
to yourself and bystanders.
