dot1x re-authenticate

The dot1x re-authenticate Privileged EXEC mode command manually initiates a re-authentication of all
802.1X-enabled ports or the specified 802.1X-enabled port.
Syntax
• dot1x re-authenticate [ethernet interface]
• interface — Valid Ethernet port. (Full syntax: unit/port)
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.

• The following command manually initiates a re-authentication of the 802.1X-enabled port.

dot1x timeout quiet-period

The dot1x timeout quiet-period Interface Configuration mode command sets the number of seconds
that the switch remains in the quiet state following a failed authentication exchange (for example, the
client provided an invalid password). Use the no form of this command to return to the default setting.
Syntax
• dot1x timeout quiet-period seconds
• no dot1x timeout quiet-period
• seconds — Time in seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state following a failed
authentication exchange with the client. (Range: 0 - 65535 seconds)
Default Configuration
Switch remains in quiet state following a failed authentication exchange for 60 seconds.
