Viewing Product and Fabric Data
The symbols that display behind the product graphic indicate the status of the
product. The meaning of each symbol is explained in
Table 7: Operating Status Symbols
Symbol

Viewing Fabric Topology

The topology of a fabric is a high-level view of the routing and pathways on the
fabric. To view the fabric topology from the viewpoint of the hosting machine,
perform the following procedure:
1. Choose View from the navigation panel.

product graphic. The generic product graphic does not provide a link to
the device's default page.

Meaning
All components and installed
ports are operational; no
failures.
A redundant component has
failed, such as a power supply,
and the backup component has
taken over operation.
A failure occurred that has
decreased the product's
operational ability. Normal
switching operations are not
affected.
One or more ports failed, but at
least one port is still operational.
A fan has failed or is not
rotating sufficiently.
A critical failure prevents the
product from performing
fundamental operations.
All fans failed.
All installed ports failed.
Both power supplies failed.
