M (Manual Setting) Mode

You can manually set the shutter speed and aperture to achieve a

particular effect. This is convenient for shooting fireworks and other

images where it is difficult to set the correct exposure automatically.

1. Turn on the camera by sliding and holding the Power Switch in the

arrow direction shown near the switch for 2 seconds.

2. Set the camera in A/S/M mode.

Press the Up and Down buttons to select the aperture value field or the

shutter speed field, and press the Left and Right buttons to adjust the

aperture value and shutter speed.

• Taking a Picture with the LCD Screen off

You can also take a picture with the LCD screen off. The procedure is the

same as above but frame your subject using the Viewfinder instead.
