To access this submenu, select Advanced on the menu bar and then Peripheral Configuration.

Options Description
Disabled Configures serial port A.
Auto assigns the first free COM port, normally COM1, the

address 3F8h, and the interrupt IRQ4.
Auto (default)
An * (asterisk) displayed next to an address indicates a
conflict with another device.
3F8 (default) Specifies the base I/O address for serial port A, if serial port A
is Enabled.

IRQ 3 Specifies the interrupt for serial port A, if serial port A is
Enabled.

Disabled Configures serial port B.
Enabled Auto assigns the first free COM port, normally COM 2, the

Normal Configures the second UART in the I/O controller to function
