CG INFINITY: CHAPTER TWO
19

Setting your default object style

Whenever you create an object, it takes its initial style from the current
default as indicated by the graphic at the bottom of the Tool panel. You can
change this default at any time by right-clicking it and choosing the Prop-
erties command. In the Properties dialog box that opens, you can specify
the new defaults. To use an existing object's style as the default, first
select it and then click the Set As Default Object Style command from
the right mouse pop-up menu. The graphic in the Tool panel changes
accordingly to reflect the new style. (You can also change the default style
by dragging-and-dropping a style directly from the Style gallery in the
Production Library to the graphic on the Tool panel.) If you wish to apply
the default style to another object, first select the object and then choose
the Use Default Style command from the right mouse pop-up menu.

Creating text and shape objects

CG Infinity is designed specifically for creating various text and shape
objects. The Text tool is ideal for producing impressive opening and
ending credits as well as flashy text effects. The Shape tool creates
regular shapes such as squares and polygons while the Path and Freehand
tools enable you to draw your own objects and even trace over existing
images.
