With control knob pressed in, push down and release ignitor
button. This will light pilot. The pilot is attached to the rear of
the front burner. If needed, keep pressing ignitor button until
pilot lights.
Note: If pilot does not stay lit, contact a qualifi ed service person
or gas supplier for repairs. Until repairs are made, light pilot
with match.
7. Keep control knob pressed in for 30 seconds after lighting pilot.
After 30 seconds, release control knob.
Note: If pilot goes out, repeat steps 3 through 7, pages 10 and
11.

• Once every year a qualifi ed agency or certifi ed chimney sweep
should examine and clean the venting system of the fi replace.

When Gas Pressure is Too Low
• pilot will not stay lit
• burners will have delayed ignition
• heater will not produce specifi ed heat
You may feel your gas pressure is too low. If so, contact your local
natural gas supplier.

You may have further questions about installation, operation, or
troubleshooting. If so, contact DESA's Technical Service Depart-
ment at 1-866-672-6040. When calling please have your model and
serial numbers of your heater ready.
