NOTE: Each anti-virus domain needs a Management Server to function
properly. If you need to change the Management Server, use the
Promote and Demote commands. For details, see

Uninstalling Windows 3.1 machines
Windows 3.1 machines are uninstalled in the same way as all other anti-virus
domain members: Either drag the machine out of the anti-virus domain into
the network view, or right-click the machine and choose Remove.
When machines are selected, you have three options: to remove them from the
domain model, to remove their anti-virus components, or to remove their
management components.
È
IMPORTANT: If you select Remove from the domain model without
selecting the other two options, the machine will not be displayed in the
anti-virus domain by the Management Console. However, the machine
still considers itself to be in that domain, it will have a valid computer
name, and it can generate alerts back to the Management Server. The
Management Console administrator cannot update anti-virus
components, change component configuration, schedule scans, or access
the machine remotely until it is added back to its domain.
If you select Remove management components, you remove the
Management Agent from the machine. However, the machine's computer
name as assigned by the Name Provider is still valid. This lets you reinstall the
machine later, without having to assign a new computer name.
If you have a Windows 3.1 machine that received a computer name, and
Windows was then removed from the machine (for example, the hard disk
was reformatted or there was a disk crash), then you may remove the
machine's entry from the Name Provider database without first having to
attempt to uninstall the machine.
Follow these steps to remove the machine's entry from the Name Provider
database if the machine is currently in an anti-virus domain:
1. Right-click on the machine
from the domain model.
2. Expand the
machine name. Right-click the name, and choose Delete Record.

Name Provider in the network view, and locate the
