CONNECTIONS

Connection to a TV with an HDCP-compatible DVI-D port

Digital video signals can be delivered by connecting a DVI*-D cable from a display with an HDCP-compatible
DVI-D port.
24-pin DVI-D cable
(commercially available)
• When using an HDCP-incompatible display, the image will not be viewed properly.
• Make the audio connections as well because no audio signal is available from the DVI-D jack.
• The 24-pin and 29-pin DVI-D cables are commercially available. Only the 24-pin DVI-D cable can be used
with this player.
Copyright protection system
To play the digital video images of a DVD via a DVI-D connection, it is necessary that both the player and the display (or an
AV amplifier) support a copyright protection system called HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection System).
HDCP is copy protection technology that comprises data encryption and authentication of the connected AV equipment.
This player supports HDCP. Please operating instructions for your display (or AV amplifier) for more information.
