Using the VL3D with a Computer

There are two options when using the VL3D with a computer:
1. The VL3D can be connected directly to a computer via its USB port and
used as a MIDI interface.
2. The VL3D can be connected to a a separate MIDI interface already con-
nected to a computer.
VL3D used as a MIDI Interface
When the VL3D is connected directly to the computer via USB, it acts as a
MIDI interface. Data sent into the MIDI In of the VL3D is passed on to the
computer through the USB port. Similarly, all data sent from the computer to
the VL3D is passed through the VL3D and appears at the MIDI Thru jack.
Note: When USB is connected, the VL3D's MIDI In does not pass data to the
MIDI Thru Jack
