Move your computer closer to your router. Refresh the list of Available Networks. If you see
your network name listed then you have a range or interference problem. See

1. Open an Internet browser window (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari).

Enter. The Quick Setup App will open.
Here's how you get rid of the prompt:
1. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.
2. Click the Connections tab.
3. Select Never dial a connection.
4. Click OK.
The modem is a dial-up modem for traditional dial-up service. To use your router, you need
a cable/DSL modem with an Ethernet port and high-speed Internet connection.
After you have setup your router, it will automatically connect to your Internet Service
Provider (ISP), so you no longer need to connect manually.
Your router does not replace your modem. You still need your DSL modem to use your
