USEFUL HINTS

• The use of demineralized water is
recommended.
• When first used, the iron may emit
impure fumes or steam; this is due to
the evaporation of substances in the
component materials. We recom-
mend that you leave the iron and
steam generator on the highest tem-
perature for several minutes and
then aim the steam jet at a clean rag
before beginning to iron your
clothes.
• Ironing quality may be optimized by
varying the amount of vapor output
depending on the type of fabric to
be ironed by turning the steam con-
trol knob (11). Steam is produced by
pressing the steam button.
• The ironing surface must be heat-
resistant and steam-permeable.
• Use the iron on a perfectly flat and
level surface.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

FILLING THE BOILER

• Unscrew the safety cap (9) and fill
boiler with approximately 0,9 liter of
water using the special funnel (17).
Do not let the tank overflow (see
Fig. 1).
• Replace the cap and screw it down
tightly.
• Plug the power cord (14) into a
grounded electrical outlet of proper
voltage.
• Turn the switch (10) to position 2
(power to steam generator + iron).
The power-on indicator (7) will light
up.
IRONING
Steam ironing
• Turn the iron temperature knob (6)
to the steam zone (see symbol,
Fig. 2). At this temperature you can
steam iron any type of fabric.
• When the steam pressure light (12)
comes on the iron is ready for use.
Before beginning to iron, press the
steam button (1) to expel any air from
the boiler and steam line. Some water
droplets may be ejected in this initial
phase. We recommend that you aim
the jet initially at a cloth.
After a few moments the steam indi-
cator light (12) will come on again and
you may begin ironing.
During use the steam indicator light
(12) will go on and off automatically as
steam is consumed. Continue ironing
normally.
• To obtain steam from the shoe,
press the steam button (1). If you
want continuous steam from the
shoe, hold the button down and
slide back the continuous shoe
steam lock (2).
• To obtain steam from the toe holes
(5), press the steam button (3). If you
want continuous steam from the toe,
hold the button down and slide back
the continuous toe steam lock (4).
To obtain steam from the shoe and
from the toe simultaneously, press the
buttons (1) and (3) (see Fig. 3). To have
continuous emission, hold the buttons
down and slide back the two continu-
ous steam locks (2) and (4).
