push button — Press the power button to turn on the
computer.
NOTICE:
To avoid losing data, do not turn off the
computer by pressing the power button. Instead,
perform an operating system shutdown.
green light — Blinking green in sleep state; solid
green in normal power-on state.
amber light — Blinking amber indicates that an
internal power problem may exist; solid amber
indicates that a device may be malfunctioning or
incorrectly installed (see "Power Problems" on
page 45).
green blinking light — Flashes when the computer is
transmitting or receiving network data. A high
volume of network traffic may make this light appear
to be in a steady on state.
green light — The hard drive activity light is on when
the computer reads data from or writes data to the
hard drive. The light may also be on when a device
such as an optical drive is in operation.
