Page 9: Basic Functions
The multimedia centre is switched on and off together with the ignition. Firstly, the start screen appears. If a navigation system has been connected it can be accessed after approx. 10 seconds. After a further approx. 30 seconds, all the MC 5400 functions are operational. -

One of three possible provider profiles can be selected for dial-in. The provider data required for dial-in can be entered under “Parameters”. CF slot (narrow card slit) of the MC 5400, if the red LED on the right of the CF slot still illuminates. This CF card contains the operating system of the MC 5400. Failure to observe this, results in danger of data loss or even destruction of the unit. -
