CHECKING AND TOPPING UP (Fig. 26)
Let the engine cool down for a few minutes.
Keep the vehicle in vertical position.
Make sure that the level of the fluid contained in
the expansion tank (see figure) is included be-
tween 1/4th and 3/4ths of the capacity of the ex-
pansion tank itself.
If not, remove the filling plug (see figure).

Be careful not to confuse the oil mixer
tank with the expansion tank.
Top up until the fluid level reaches about 3/4ths of
the expansion tank.

Do not exceed this level, otherwise the
fluid will overflow when the engine is run-
ning.
Put back the plug on the expansion tank.

If it is necessary to top up the coolant too
frequently, contact your aprilia Official
Dealer for a check.
