Using the D-Net Connection Options There are two different connection options for connecting D -Net (IEEE1394) compatible devices. Select the most suitable option according to your network of audio/video products. The Direct Device-To-Device Option D-Net (IEEE1394) permits the chaining of devices, unlike analog audio and video connections where each device needs to be individually connected to the TV.
4-Pin and 6-Pin Connectors Two different types of connectors are used for IEEE1394 terminals and cables, a 4-pin and a 6-pin. The 4-pin connector sends digital audio, digital video and digital control signals to and from devices. The TV has two available 4-pin connection jacks, of which two are at the back.
If there are multiple devices of the same type, the devices will be listed in ascending order of the manufacturer name with Samsung first as the exception. If there are multiple devices of the same type and they are manufactured by the same company, they will be listed in the order of their serial number.
