7. Maintenance

This section describes the simple maintenance procedures you should follow to clean the fi lters and replace the
lamp.
❶ Cleaning or Replacing the Filter
The air-fi lter sponge keeps dust and dirt from getting inside the projector and should be frequently cleaned. If the
fi lter is dirty or clogged, your projector may overheat.
NOTE: The message for fi lter cleaning will be displayed for one minute when the projector is turned on or off.
To cancel the message, press any button on the projector cabinet or the remote control.
CAUTION
• Turn off the projector, turn off the main power switch and unplug the projector before replacing the fi lter.
• Only clean the outside of the fi lter cover with a vacuum cleaner.
• Do not attempt to operate the projector without the fi lter cover.
To clean the air-fi lter:
Vacuum the fi lter-through the fi lter cover.
To reset the fi lter usage time, from the menu, select [RESET] → [CLEAR FILTER HOURS].
