Do I have access to the Microtek
Scanner Configuration (MSC) Utility?
The Microtek Scanner Configuration (MSC) utility is a companion
program of ScanWizard 5. This utility works only if your scanner
model is equipped with scanner one-touch buttons. If your Microtek
scanner is equipped with scanner one-touch buttons, you can use
the buttons to complete common scanning tasks.
How to configure the one-touch buttons with MSC utility
1. Launch the MSC Utility by - a) Double-clicking the MSC icon
from the desktop; or b) (For Windows only) From Windows
taskbar, click Start, Programs, Microtek ScanWizard 5 for
Windows, then Microtek Scanner Configuration.
2. When the MSC panel appears, click on a tab to redefine the
settings you want.
Important note about the MSC utility
ScanWizard 5 and MSC are running exclusive of each other.
ScanWizard 5 will not function correctly with the MSC running at the
same time.
How ScanWizard 5 works with the scanner buttons
When ScanWizard 5 is launched from the desktop, the Scan, Copy,
E-mail, OCR, or To Web buttons will complete a prescan and set
ScanWizard 5's "Scan To" button to reflect the scan function you
chose.
When ScanWizard 5 is launched from an image-editing application,
the Scan, Copy, E-mail, OCR, or To Web buttons will only perform a
prescan.
