Setting System Time via Auto
Clock
Some TV channels send out special time signals during
broadcast, which this DVD recorder can receive and use
to automatically update the system clock. Follow the
steps listed below to activate this function. If the cable
TV channels in your area do not carry the signals, please
adjust the system clock manually via Setup Date/Time
Date and Setup Date/Time Time.
1. Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.
2. Go to 'Auto Clock' through Date/TimeAuto Clock.
3. Select 'On' to activate or 'Off' to disable the function,
then press ENTER.
4. If you choose to activate the function, a pop-up
window showing the time zone option will appear.
Select a time zone appropriate to the area where you
are situated, then press ENTER.
5. A pop-up window titled 'Daylight Saving' will then
appear. Press  to make selection suitable for your
time zone, then press ENTER.
6. If you select 'Auto' or 'On', a pop-up window will
appear. See step 7 and 8 if you select 'Full Auto Scan'.
See step 9 to step 11 if you select 'Manual Scan'.
7. If you select 'Full Auto Scan', the DVD recorder will
start scanning the clock signal submitted by the first
detected channel.

8. If the scanning is successful, a pop-up window show-
ing current time will appear. Select 'OK' to accept or
'Cancel' to discard the setting, then press ENTER. Or
you can select 'Scan Next' to scan next channel.

9. If you select 'Manual Scan', a pop-up window will
appear. Enter the number of channel you would like to
scan, and press ENTER. Scanning will then start.
