Pre-Ordering eBooks
You can pre-order eBooks that are not currently available, but that will be available soon. When the
eBook becomes available, it is delivered to your online digital library, you are charged for it, and you
receive a notification in The Daily that it is available.
You can only pre-order eBooks if you have a billing address in the United States or Canada. You
cannot pre-order eBooks if you have an international, U.S. territory, or APO/FPO (Army Post
Office / Fleet Post Office) billing address. You can only pre-order digital content when physically
within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Palau,
the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada. Some items are not available for purchase in Canada.
Ordering Periodicals
For periodicals, you can purchase a single issue or a subscription:

Downloading Free eBooks
When you view item details for an eBook and the eBook is free, you "purchase" it just as you
would for an eBook that costs something. The only difference is that there is no charge.
Downloading Free Samples
Some eBooks have a free sample you can download. The free sample is typically the first part of the
book.
If there is a free sample for an eBook,
downloaded the free sample, you cannot download it again (you don't need to).
If you own an eBook, including one that is currently lent to a friend, you cannot download the free
sample.
Free Trials for Periodicals
When you purchase a subscription to a periodical for the first time, you automatically get a 14-day
free trial.
