2.8 Onboard Headers and Connectors

Onboard headers and connectors are NOT jumpers. Do NOT place
jumper caps over these headers and connectors. Placing jumper caps
over the headers and connectors will cause permanent damage of the
motherboard!
FDD connector
(33-pin FLOPPY1)

Note: Make sure the red-striped side of the cable is plugged into Pin1 side of the
connector.
Primary IDE connector (Black)
(39-pin IDE1, see p.13 No. 8)

devices. The current SATAII

interface allows up to 3.0 Gb/s
data transfer rate.
These two Serial ATA3 (SATA3)
SATA3_1
SATA3_0
connectors support SATA data
cables for internal storage
devices. The current SATA3
interface allows up to 6.0 Gb/s
data transfer rate. If you install
the HDD on the eSATA port on
the rear I/O, the internal
SATA3_1 will not function.
Either end of the SATA data
cable can be connected to the
SATA / SATAII / SATA3 hard
disk or the SATAII / SATA3
connector on this motherboard.
