Troubleshooting Problem The indicator light is Poor contact with lighter socket. not illuminated. In an automobile : The ignition is required to be on. Vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket fuse blown. Automatic shutdown when DC voltage falls to 10.5v or less. In an airplane : The pilot has turned off the power to the airplane seat. -
