Install driver: Install the driver needed for connecting your phone to your PC
software or as a media device or camera. You only need to install the driver on the
same PC once.
Note: You can also install the driver on PC by running the executable file in the new CD-ROM
drive.
Connect to PC software: Install apps or manage data on the phone via PC software.
Media device (MTP): Transfer files on Windows PC or Mac.
Note: For Windows XP, you need to install the driver and Media Player 11 (or later version)
when you use Media device (MTP).
Camera (PTP): Transfer photos using camera software.
3. Uncheck Don't ask me again to be prompted to select a connection type each time you
connect the phone to the PC.

Location Services Settings

The Location services menu allows you to select how your phone determines its location by
using wireless networks, GPS satellites, or both.
■ Touch
>
Google's location service: Use Wi-Fi and mobile networks to determine your
approximate location, and allow anonymous location data to be sent to Google.
GPS satellites: Use GPS satellites to determine your accurate location.
Location & Google search: Improve Google search results and other services
using your location information.
Note: To let Google apps such as Maps and Google+ access your location, you need to enable
Location & Google search.

Security Settings

The Security settings allow you to increase the security of your phone with screen locks,
encryption, device administration and more.

Screen Lock

You can protect your phone by creating a screen lock. When enabled, you need to draw a
pattern or enter a numeric PIN or password to unlock the phone's screen.
To set a screen lock:
1. Touch

Settings
> Settings > Location services and select an option to enable it.
> Settings > Security > Screen lock.
