Slide the main switch to ON.

Check that the battery Icon
appears on the LCD
panel when you switch the camera on,

Prepare a new battery.
•.CT/ (blinking) Install Ihe new battery. (-»15)
A new battery generally has sufficient capacity for
eight 25-shot film cartridges (based on Canon's
Standard Test Melhod with normal temperatures and
with the flash used for 50% of shots). At low
temperatures (-10''C/14''F). the battery capacity is
approximately one third of normal capacity.

- Use one CR2 lithium battery.
• Always check Ihe battery capacity before using the
camera.
* If you are traveling or Intend to take many pictures,
take a supply of spare batteries. The battenes may be
difficult to obtain at your destinatic»).
• If you take a number of consecutive shots using the
flash, the battery power may drop off temporarily and
prevent Ihe LCD panel from displaying data correctly.
If this occurs, switch Ihe camera off and wait a few
minutes before swrtching it on again.
