Page 2: Before Use
IMPORTANT Installer and Users please note: These instructions should be read carefully and left with the user of the product for future reference. BEFORE USE You must inspect the product including its cable and plug for any signs of damage. If the product is damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier immediately. -

INSTALLATION Place the appliance on a firm, flat level surface. If continuous drainage is to be used, unscrew and remove the bung from the drainage port (on the back of the appliance, half-way up, on the left-hand side), and connect a drainage hose to the port. -

• To use the EH1548 for drying clothes, place the appliance so that it is below and to one side of the items to be dried. This is to prevent water from the clothes dripping into the appliance. • For rapid drying select Turbo mode by pressing the Turbo button. The indicator will illuminate to show that it is in Turbo mode. -

To cancel the timer, switch the appliance off using the POWER button, then switch back on again. If the tank becomes full whilst operating in timed mode, the timing program will be cancelled. EMPTYING THE COLLECTED WATER • If not using a drainage hose, empty the bucket when the "WATER FULL"... -

MAINTENANCE • Before cleaning, turn the appliance off, and disconnect from the mains supply. The appliance may then be cleaned using a damp cloth with a drop of washing-up liquid to remove any dust or dirt from the case. Do no use stronger detergents or solvents as these may damage the surface finish. -

FAULT FINDING Appliance does not operate when switched on: • There is a short delay before the compressor starts. This is to protect the compressor. Appliance stops operating and "FULL" indicator lights. • Bucket is full of water - empty the water as shown on page 6. Do not drink the water (it may be used for watering plants). -

OPERATING COSTS At time of going to press, the average cost of electricity is £0.13 per unit (kilowatt- hour). The amount you are being charged will be shown on your electricity bill. At this cost, the appliance will cost 8½p per hour to run on the "continuous" setting. -

Si vous utilisez le drainage continu, dévissez et enlevez la bonde de l'orifice de drainage port (à l'arrière de l'appareil, à mi-hauteur, sur le côté gauche), et connectez un tuyau de drainage sur l'orifice.
- Page 12 Le réglage le plus adéquat pour le taux d'humidité tourne autour de 50%. • Pour utiliser le EH1548 pour sécher le linge, placez l'appareil sous les habits à sécher mais sur le côté, ceci pour éviter que l'eau des habits ne coule dans l'appareil.

Si le cordon est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un technicien qualifié. • Procédez comme suit: • Connectez le câble marron sur le bornier libellé ''L''. • Connectez le câble bleu sur le bornier libellé ''N''. • Vérifiez que le serre-câble est positionné correctement (sur la gaine extérieure du câble) et qu'il est bien serré. -
