NAMES AND USE OF PARTS
(8 TIME key
e Use
to select
the method
for displaying
time
on
the
indicator panel. Each time the key is pressed, the indication
changes from TIME, REMAIN
(track remain) and REMAIN
(disc remain:
This will not be displayed
during
random
playback.) to TOTAL in that order. {For details concerning

refer to the explanation
about the
indicators.}
(9 EJECT key
Press to eject a magazine or the disc tray. When pressed, any
magazine (in case of sigle magazine, the disc tray) inside is
ejected forward.
@® STOP key
Press to stop playback. When
pressed, the player stops ail
operations. But the TOC data for the disc are read and stored.
@ PAUSE key/indicator
Press to temporarily interrupt playback. When pressed again,
the player is released from the pause mode.
@ PLAY key/indicator
Press to begin playback, and to release the player from the
pause mode.
@ TRACK SEARCH keys
When
the player is in the normal
playback,
programmed
playback delete playback or pause modes, these keys are
REAR PANEL
pressed to search for a desired track. Pressing either key
causes the piayer to advance to the next track, or return to
the previous track.
@ REMOTE SENSOR
@ AUTO PROGRAM EDIT key
Press to program a tune which may bé played back within a
specified time.
2 TIME FADE EDIT key
Press to have a fade-out when playback reaches the end of
the specified time.
@ PHONES (headphones) jack
When you wish to use headphones,
insert the plug for the
headphones into the headphones jack.
@ PHONES LEVEL control knob
Use to adjust the level of sound
when
using headphones.
Turning the knob to the right increases the sound level.
Audio glossary
Fade-in:
This is when the sound becomes audible gradually.
Fade-out:
This is when the sound gradually becomes inaudible.
The iNDEX is a signal which is recorded within a track to indicate
division of the track into separate tunes and items of music.
CONTROL IN terminal
This terminal is for inputting the remote control signals relayed
from an amplifier with a sensor for receiving control signals from
a remote control unit and carrying the Pionner |
mark. For
instructions regarding connection and operation, please' refer to
the operating instruction manual for your stereo amplifier.
CONTROL OUT terminal

This terminal is for further relaying remote control signals to other
|
components carrying the Pioneer
mark. Please connect te the
|
control input terminal of the other component.

DIGITAL OUT switch
This is switched on when the digital output terminal is used.
LINE OUT terminal
ON:
When a coaxial digital terminal is used.
OFF:
When only a line output terminal is used.
