Highlights
Access to Pay TV services
There is more and more choice for top quality TV
content these days, but the only way to access the
premium channels is to subscribe to the services
from the local Pay-TV operators. This digital receiver
enables you to get the best of both worlds by
enabling access to certain pay-TV broadcasts in
addition to the standard free-to-air channels. Simply
insert the operator's smart card into the receiver's
dedicated pay-TV slot, and it will descramble the
encrypted signals that are being broadcasted by the
Pay-TV operators.
Freeview access
You want to continue watching the publicly
broadcast channels as well as the additional digital
channels available on Freeview. Your digital TV
receiver also gives you access to MHEG services,
such as on-screen EPG, games and videotext. No
subscription required to receive the most popular
TV channels in the UK brought to you in digital
quality.
Pulse Killer Chip
Electrical interferences are neutralised by a built in
chip called PKC
Digital audio output
With a digital audio output, you can immerse
yourself in the programme that you are watching and
enjoy the surround sound that is being broadcasted
in the TV programme. Simply connect a cable from
the connector for digital audio output (this can be
cinch or optical connector, depending on availability
on the product) and the digital audio signals in the
broadcasted programme will be output to the Dolby
Digital certified home theatre system (or an audio
amplifier) for processing into a 5.1 audio experience
on the loudspeaker boxes.
Automatic install and update
With the launch of digital terrestrial TV, additional
broadcast channels are made available. Also, the
channel numbering can often be temporarily
reshuffled during digital switchover. To ensure that
you always have the access to all available channels,
it is important that the product is able to scan and
install new channels automatically. A very sensitive
tuner in this product scans through the broadcasting
network for new channels whenever the product is
switched off. Whenever a new service is detected, it
will be automatically updated and saved onto the
channel list.
7-Day Electronic Programme Guide
Would you like to know what the TV schedule is for
today and even for the whole week? This way, you
can be sure you won't miss any of your favourite
shows by planning your evenings or making pre-
scheduled recordings. The EPG information is part of
the broadcast data and, when available, this receiver
compiles the programming details for the upcoming
7 days and lists it in an easy-to-read format for your
reference. The EPG can be accessed via the menu, or
by simply pressing the EPG button on the remote
control.
2 SCART connectors
2 SCART sockets allow you to connect to 2 devices
simultaneously. One connection for the TV and the
other, either to a DVD recorder or VCR for
recording TV content, or to a video playback device,
such as a DVD or Blu-ray player. Simply connect the
SCART sockets on the product to the desired device
by a SCART cable, to enable transmission of the
video signals.
