- Switching the player on.

Informs you about the functioning of the player.

- Storing tracks in a programme.
- Erasing tracks from a programme.
- Checking the programme.

Repeating play.

REM(AINING) TOT(AL) TIME
Showing the remaining playing time of the CD.
7 OPEN/CLOSE
Opening and closing the CD compartment.

SHUFFLE
Playing in random order.
9 PREVIOUS and NEXT
- Returning to the beginning of a track.
- Selecting another track during play.
- Selecting a track to start play with.
- Selecting tracks when compiling a programme.
(PREVIOUS from high to low and NEXT from low
to high.)
10 <M SEARCH and SEARCH W>
Fast search for a passage; <W backwards and E>>
forwards.
11 STOP/CM
- Stopping play.
- Erasing a programme ('CM1 = 'Clear Memory').
12 PLAY/PAUSE
- Starting play.
- Interrupting play.
13 INTRO SCAN
Automatically playing the beginning of each track.
14 PHONES
(CD 502 only)
Connecting headphones.
REMOTE CONTROL
(CD 502 only)
- The life of the batteries of the remote control is
around one year; for replacement only use bat¬
teries of the type R03, UM4 or AAA.
- W TRACK = PREVIOUS and TRACK tH = NEXT.
- Use the '1-0' digit keys to enter numbers
directly
when:
selecting another track;
selecting a track to start play with;
selecting tracks when compiling a programme.
Two-figure numbers must be entered
within 2
seconds!
DISPLAY

PAUSE
Lights up when play is interrupted.
PROGR(AM)
Lights up when a programme is being stored.
REPEAT
- Lights up when the entire CD or a programme is
repeated.
- Rashes up when a track is repeated.
SHUFFLE
Lights up when the tracks on the CD are played in
random order.
Err
Lights up if you:
- make an error in operating the player;
- try to start play when the CD is inserted with the
printed side facing down or if the CD is damaged.
dISC
Lights up if you try to start play without a CD in the CD
compartment.

Lights up when the player receives a command from
the remote control.
PLAY
Lights up when play starts.
OPEN
Lights up when you open the CD compartment.
SCAN
Lights up during scanning, when the beginning of
each track is played automatically.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF (STAND BY)
• Press STAND BY to switch the player on.
• Press STAND BY again to switch to STAND BY
mode.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket to
fully
switch off the player.
