This appliance nlust be grounded. In tile event ot an
electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of
electric shock by providing an escape wire for tile
electric current.
This appliance is equipped Mth a power cord having
a gmlmding wire with a grolmding plug. The plug
must be plugged into an outlet that is properly
installed and grolmded.
Consult a qualNed electrician or service technician
if tile grotmding instructions are not completely
tmde_stood, or if cloubt exists as to whether the
appliance is propedy grolmded.
If the outlet is a standard 2-prong wall outlet, it is
yore" personal responsibili_' and obligation to
have it replaced with a propedy grotmded 3-prong
wall outlet.

EXTENSION CORDS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce tile risks resulting ti'om becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords may be used if w)u are careflfl in using them.
If an extension cord is used--
D'_ The marked electrical rating of tile extension cord should be at least as great as tile electrical rating
of tile appliance;
_'J The extension cord must be a grotmding-type 3-wire cord and it m ust be plugged into a 3-slot outlet;
