Symptoms
Sound/Audio Problems
Normal picture but no
sound.
HD/DVD Problems
Picture looks wrong.
No picture or sound.
Menu Operation Problems
TV does not change menu
option.
POP-3 / Split Screen Problems
TV screen shows 3 channels
on right side of screen.
TV screen shows 2 pictures.
Channel Tuning Problems
Can't tune channels.
Can't tune to a particular
channel using CH Up/Down.

Cause(s)
• Check volume levels.
• Try another channel.
• A/V cables incorrectly connected.
• Audio Out cables installed wrong.
• Internal Speakers turned off.
• No SAP signal.
• Wrong picture format.
• Wrong source selected on TV.
• Source equipment turned off.
• Tape or Disk not playing.
• Try another channel.
• Wires incorrectly connected.
• Select not pushed.
• Remote in wrong mode.
• Software lock-up.
• Parental Control on.
• POP-3 feature is on.
• PIP Screen feature is on.
• ANT 1 source not selected.
• Channel was deleted.
Possible Solution(s)
-Make sure the TV sound is not muted.
-The problem may be the broadcast, not your TV.
-Install the Audio cables correctly.
-Install external amplifier cables correctly.
-Turn internal speakers on in the Audio menu.
-If the Audio Mode is set to SAP, the channel may not
have an SAP program.
-Use correct aspect ratio for source's image:
Normal, Wide, Zoom, etc. Press ASPECT repeatedly.
-Select correct source equipment.
-Turn source equipment on.
-Press "PLAY" on source equipment.
-The problem may be with the broadcast, not your TV.
-Install wires correctly on TV and equipment.
-Be sure to press "Select" thumbstick center bulls-eye
when required as shown on menus.
-Press TV to put remote into TV operating mode.
-Disconnect TV power cord from power outlet for 5 minutes.
-Turn Parental Control blocks off.
-Press MULTI on remote to turn feature off.
-Press PIP on remote to turn feature off.
-Press SOURCE on remote to show ANT 1 channels.
-Reinstall channel to channel scan on Add/Del menu.
