Protected/blocked message

Possible Cause(s)
• AC Power Cord not connected
or outlet doesn't work.
• Source turned off.
• Source not selected.
• Remote not in TV mode.
• TV software functioning.
• Not aimed at remote sensor.
• Remote too far from TV or
IR path to TV obstructed.
• Weak batteries.
• Wrong battery polarity.
• Too much light in room.
• Caption/Text mode turned on.
• Not available on program.
• Not turned on.
• CC on Mute selected.
• Program content is restricted.
• Don't know password.
• TV-PG set to be blocked.
• Foul language not blocked.
• Program is not rated.
Possible Solution(s)
-Connect power cord. Try a different outlet.
-Local power failure?
-Turn source equipment on.
-Select source.
-Press TV/FM to put remote into TV mode.
-Wait until software function is complete.
-Point remote at TV Front Control Panel.
-Move remote closer to TV or darken room.
-Remove obstructions.
-Replace batteries.
-Check that "+" and "-" match in battery compartment.
-Dim room light.
-The CC (closed caption) option may be in Text 1, 2, 3, or 4 mode.
-Select Caption 1, or OFF in the Caption/Text menu.
-Check local TV listings to see if available on broadcast.
-Relocate over-the-air antenna.
-Try a different channel with Closed Captions or Text.
-Pick a Closed Caption or Text option and turn Captions on.
-Set Captions option to off.
-Key-in password and turn Lock On/Off (restrictions) Off.
-Set to Off in Lock On/Off menu.
-Tune to channel without Parental Control "Content" restrictions.
-Wait until restriction time expires.
-Reset restrictions to PG-13 so TV-PG programs will appear.
-Restrict Language in Content options on Parental Control menu.
-Restrict or block programs with no ratings.
