Switchingaction again allOWS the motorto turnthe rotor & disc to place the
valve in BACKWASH, stoppingwater flow to the nozzle. Water is routed
down and out the bottom disthbutor,up through the bed, and out the top
distributorto the drain. The fast flow (controlled by a flow plug in the drain
fitting)flushesdirt, s_,odiments, iron deposits, and remaining solution to the
drain.
Dudug FAST RINSE, the rotor& disc is positioned so water flow enters the
mineral tank through the top d_butor, and exits through the bottom
distributor, to the drain, The fast flow of water downward through the
mineral bed flushesany remainingsolutionto the drain. The mineral bed is
packed and prepared for return to service.
The solid state timer again energizes the motor to return the valve to
se_,ce As the valve rotates, the position switch lever dropsto open the
circuit. The valve remains positionedin service until the timer initiatesthe
next regeneration,
