Additional Laser Caution
1, Laser Interlock Mechanism
The ON/OFF (ON: low level, OFF : high level) status of the
LPS1
(S601) and LPS2 (S602) switches for detecting the
loading state is detected by the system microprocessor,
and the design prevents laser diode oscillation when both
switches LPS1 and LPS2 are not ON (low level)(clamped
state).
Thus, interlock will no longer function if switches LPS1
(S601) and LPS2 (S602) are deliberately shorted.
Also, in the test mode *, the interlock mechanism does not
operate too.
Laser diode oscillation will continue
if pins 2 and
3 of
CXA1471S
(C101) are connected to ground or pin 20 is
connected to high level (ON) or the terminals of Q101 are
shorted to each other (fault condition).
