DEPRESS THE POWER SWITCH TO TURN ON THE POWER.

PHONO Selector.........0-200000- MC/33/47/100
1. Turn on the PHONO switch.
2. Set the turntable to playback mode.
3. Adjust the VOLUME, BALANCE,
BASS and TREBLE con-
trols.
4. Depress the SUBSONIC and LINE STRAIGHT switches and
the LOUDNESS
and MUTING
buttons as desired.
CAUTION:
Do not connect
a crystal or ceramic type car-
tridge turntable to the PHONO jacks. When using
this type of turntable, employ the AUX
jacks and
depress the AUX switch.

When
a PHONO
ground
line is available, connect to the
Ground (-7}7) terminal.
*
Avoid
placing the turntable too close to the speaker sys-
tem. If placed too close, transmission of vibration from the
speakers will cause howling.
*
Confirm
that the connections are complete and that the
thickness of wire is sufficient. Incorrect or incomplete wir-
ing is, in some cases, the cause of hum.

* Check for correct grounding.

. Turn on the TUNER
switch.
. Set the tuner to receive FM or AM
broadcast.
. Adjust the VOLUME, BALANCE, BASS and TREBLE cc
trols.
. Depress the SUBSONIC and LINE STRAIGHT switches ai
the LOUDNESS
and MUTING
buttons as desired.
TAPE PLAYBACK
. Turn
on
the TAPE-1
or -2 switch
depending
on the ta
deck to be played back.
. Set the tape deck to playback mode.
. Adjust the VOLUME, BALANCE, BASS and TREBLE cc
trols.
. Depress the SUBSONIC and LINE STRAIGHT switches ai
the LOUDNESS and MUTING
buttons as desired.
The AUX
jacks can also be used for playback.
In such
case, connect
the AUX
jacks to the tape deck's outp
(LINE OUT) jacks and turn on the AUX switch.
